Vijay Eswaran is the co-founder as well as Executive Chairman of the QI Group. He was born in Penang in 1960. He did his studies at the London School of Economics. He has also earned a certification from CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) in the UK.
Then he moved to America where he started working while studying. This is where he came across multi-level marketing (MLM). He returned to Malaysia and joined Cosway’s.
Vijay Eswaran worked in several companies in different countries. In 1998 he decided to partner with Joseph Bismark. They founded a business named QI Group. This was based in Hong Kong. It was highly successful and provided annual revenues of $750 million.
His passion towards philanthropy is evident through his activities. Vijay Eswaran has established RYTHM (“Raise Yourself to Help Mankind”) Foundation (RF). This is the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of his company, the QI Group. He is also the founder of the Vijayaratnam Foundation (VF). This is the Malaysian chapter of his company, QI Group. This Foundation was established in 2006, after his father, S. Vijayaratnam. Even he was engaged in various charitable activities.
The Vijayaratnam Foundation implements various initiatives in public as well as private sectors, and the philanthropic community. There are four main areas focus here. These include education, besides community development, as well as arts & culture, along with the environment.

These total RM 166,000 till date. It is also giving aid to those students who enroll in vocational courses. Loans have been given to 12 students of the Riverbank Academy. They have been granted loans worth RM 50,600. All these students belong to disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Vijayratnam Foundation of Vijay Eswaran is also providing necessary resources to communities in order to achieve sustainable development. The aim is to provide knowledge as well as solutions al that they are able to help themselves later. It is also supporting the Malaysian Hindu Youth Organization (HYO) that was founded by Vijay’s father.
