Some of the fans of her Lime Crime clothing line would comment to her about the way that she did her makeup and also the colors that she would mix together. Many of those fans also encouraged her to start up her own makeup line. Doe Deere believed that their comments made a lot of sense and in 2009 she put out her first lipstick. She called her lipstick Unicorn lipstick. She had a very deep and bright red that was very different than any other red color that was available on the market. The color was able to incorporate all of the rich fullness that she wanted to put out there. Later, in 2012 she launched more of the colors from her makeup brand; she made the Velvetines and many more bright and beautiful colors.
In 2012 Doe Deere reformulated all of her makeup so that they could meet vegan standards. Doe Deere is the CEO and the creator of Lime Crime make up, and she is also the overseer.
